BROOKINGS, S.D. - The South Dakota State wrestling program added two future Jackrabbits to the program on Tuesday, as they announced the addition of two class of 2026 recruits.
The additions are:
- Makael Aguayo, 157/165 pounds, Billings, Mont.
- Caleb Hodges, 149/157 pounds, Madison, S.D.
Aguayo hails from Billings, Mont., and Billings West High School, where he was a four-time state champion at 103, 132, 138 and 150 pounds. He finished his senior year undefeated and became the 43rd wrestler in Montana State history to be a four-time state champion. He holds a career prep record of 217-48. He projects as a 157- or 165-pounder at the collegiate level.
Hodges comes from Madison, S.D., and Madison High School, where he was a four-time state placer, including three consecutive runner-up finishes in 2024, 2025, and 2026, and a third-place finish in 2023. He holds a career record of 239-55 and was 39-2 in his senior year at Madison. He projects as a 149- or 157-pounder at the collegiate level.
Hodges and Aguayo join an impressive 2026 class that includes four other additions in Riley Johnson of Omaha, Neb., Brock Johnson of Paola, Kan., Tyson Martin of La Crosse, Wisc. and Cavin Carlson of Willmar, Minn.
