Miller Honored Twice

Just two games into her return to the court, South Dakota State women's basketball player Macy Miller was honored as The Summit League and College Sports Madness Summit League Mid-Major Player of the Week Monday.

The guard averaged 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game in a pair of wins over NJIT and George Washington. Miller also shot 68 percent (17 of 25) from the field and 50 percent (4-8) from 3-point range.

In the season opening win against NJIT, Miller led five Jackrabbits in scoring with 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field.

In the Jackrabbits' thrilling overtime win at George Washington Sunday, Miller tallied 20 points, five rebounds and a career-high seven assists. She shot 61.5 percent from the field and 60 percent from 3-point range.

Miller has been named Summit League Player of the Week for the five times and twice by College Sports Madness.
