South Dakota State University takes pride in our loyal fan and student support at Jackrabbit Athletics events. Please respect the game, athletes, and your fellow fans. Most importantly, have fun!
ACCESS TO FACILITIES
- Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium: All gates will open 90Â minutes prior to kickoff. Fans are encouraged to enter the stadium early to avoid missing any of the game. All non-student ticket holders may enter any gate at the stadium. All SDSU students must present a valid SDSU student ID at the student gate located in the southwest corner of the stadium. Premium seat holders should enter through the PREMIER Entrance located in the center of the west side.
- First Bank & Trust Arena: All gates will open 60 minutes prior to events. All non-student ticket holders may enter any gate at the arena. All SDSU students must present a valid SDSU student ID at the student gate located in the southwest corner of the facility.
- Other: All Jackrabbit Athletics facilities, with the exception of Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium, will open 60 minutes prior to events. For non-Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium and non-First Bank & Trust Arena events, SDSU students may present a valid SDSU student ID at the main ticket entrance.
ADA ACCESSIBILITY
Guests with disabilities will find accessible parking, vehicle drop-off areas, elevators, restrooms, concessions, water fountains, ATMs and seating areas. For more information on wheelchair accessible/disability seating, please call the Jackrabbit Ticket Office at 605-688-5422. Parking for fans with disabilities in vehicles displaying properly authorized license plate or hang tags is available.
ALCOHOL
- Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium: In order to purchase alcohol, all fans — regardless of age — must present a valid ID at designated stations in tailgating areas or stadium concourses to receive a wristband and stamp for that day's game. Board policy requires each fan to have his or her ID on them at all times as age verification will take place at points of sale and beyond. Stadium gates open 90 minutes prior to kickoff, with alcohol sales — consisting of beer and seltzer only — starting one hour prior to kickoff and ending at the conclusion of the third quarter as per BOR policy. Two sections within Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium have been designated as alcohol-free zones: Section 207 in the west grandstand and Section 123 on the east side. All transactions at alcohol kiosks in the stadium concourses will be processed by credit card only. For SDSU students, payment via campus meal plans will not be accepted for alcohol sales.
ANIMALS
Pets are prohibited at all Jackrabbit Athletics facilities. Service animals are permitted.
BAGS
- South Dakota State Athletics is implementing bag restrictions at all Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium football-related events starting March 1, 2021, to further ensure the safety of all patrons and employees. Additionally, this policy serves to speed up check-in times for guests. Opaque bags larger than 4.5" x 6.5" will not be allowed in any of our venues. Patrons who are in possession of items that are larger than this bag size shall be denied entry. Under no circumstances will an employee accept a bag for "safe keeping", take possession of any such bag or otherwise control such bag.

BANNERS AND SIGNS
Banners and signs are permitted, provided they are in good taste and not of a commercial nature. Banners and signs may not exceed 8.5" x 11", or obstruct the view of other guests or arena advertising signage. Banners and signs cannot be on a pole or hung in a fixed location in a Jackrabbit Athletics facility. Arena staff reserve the right to remove any banner or sign.
CAMERAS
Only still cameras are permitted, provided there is no flash that may distract student-athletes or officials. However, no tri-pods or similar devices are permitted. Video cameras are not allowed.
CELL PHONES
The use of flash photography, from camera or phone, while visible from the field/court/mat is prohibited. There is a complimentary cell phone charging station on the Club 71 level in Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium and on the north side of the concourse in First Bank & Trust Arena.
CODE OF CONDUCT
The following are prohibited:
- Abusive, foul or disruptive language and obscene gestures
- Fighting, taunting or threatening remarks or gestures
- Obscene or indecent clothing
- Inappropriate displays of affection
- Sitting in a location other than your ticketed seat
- Interference with the game/event
- Trespassing into restricted area
- Any activities prohibited by law
DROP OFF
Fans who would like to drop off a passenger can do so by entering the west side parking lot at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium and the east side parking lot at First Bank & Trust Arena. Fans must drop off the passenger(s) and then find a parking spot in the appropriate lot.
EVACUATION PLAN
In the event of an emergency where a partial or complete evacuation of the arena is necessary, follow all directions from Arena personnel, videoboard messaging, and PA announcements. Keep your ticket for re-entry once the facility is deemed safe. FAN CONDUCT
SDSU game management and University Police Department personnel reserves the right to remove any fans that are disobey any stadium policies or present a safety risk.
FIELD/COURT/MAT ACCESS
Jackrabbit Athletics asks that all patrons refrain from entering the field/court/mat level at any time. Violators will be subject to arrest and prosecution. At the conclusion of the Jackrabbit Athletics event, spectators are not permitted to access the field/court/mat.Â

LIGHT SHOW
WARNING: Please be advised that strobe lights will be used at events and may affect those with photosensitive epilepsy and other conditions.ÂLOST & FOUND
- Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium: Items are kept at the information booth located on the west side of the stadium towards the south end. Following the game, found items (other than clothing) will be delivered to University Police (605-688-5117).
- First Bank & Trust Arena: Items are kept at the Jackrabbit Ticket Office located in the main southeast lobby (closed after halftime). Following the game, found items (other than clothing) will be delivered to University Police (605-688-5117).
- Other: Items are kept at the ticket box office locations.
LOST CHILDREN
Parents/guardians with a lost child should contact the nearest police officer or event staff member. That person will then contact the proper personnel to ensure the quickest remedy to the situation.
MEDIA
Credentials and parking passes requests may be made through SDSU Sports Information office.
- Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium: Media will be able to access the stadium 3 hours prior to kickoff.
- First Bank & Trust Arena: Media will be able to access the arena 1.5 hours prior to the event.
- Other: Media will be able to access the arena 1.5 hours prior to the event.
MOTHERS ROOMS
- Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium: 1) Main concourse in the northwest corner, 2) Club 71
- First Bank & Trust Arena: Second level in northeast corner
PARKING
- Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium: Refer to the stadium parking map for more information. Pay lots will be CASH ONLY.
- First Bank & Trust Arena: Those with Jackrabbit Club parking passes will be granted access in the Jackrabbit Club lots. Fans who do not have a Jackrabbit Club pass will be able to park in a free lot.
- Other: Parking is free for all other Jackrabbit Athletics events.
PROGRAMS

PROHIBITED ITEMS
- Outside food or drinks are not allowed except for medical purposes (fans are permitted to carry in a sealed water bottle or empty refillable water bottle)
- Animals, except for service animals
- Laser pointers
- Strollers, umbrellas, noise-making devices, drones, fireworks, tobacco products (smoking and smokeless tobacco)
- Balls
- All flags or signs must be pre-authorized by Jackrabbit Athletics - any authorized flags or signs cannot be on a pole or hung in a fixed location in a Jackrabbit Athletics facility.
RE-ENTRY
- Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium: Once you have entered Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium, you will not be permitted to exit the facility and re-enter using the same ticket. A new ticket must be purchased to re-enter (see gate security personnel for exceptions). As a premium seat holder in Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium, you may enter the main stadium concourse by receiving a ticket voucher from workers at the entry/exit to the main concourse of the VIP elevator lobby.
- First Bank & Trust Arena: Once you have entered First Bank & Trust Arena, please see a ticket representative for a stamp to re-enter the facility.
- Other: Once you have entered a Jackrabbit Athletics facility, other than Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium, please see a ticket representative for a stamp to re-enter the facility.
RESALE OF TICKETS/MERCHANDISE
The resale of game tickets or the selling of merchandise is strictly prohibited in and around Jackrabbit Athletics facilities and parking lots.
SMOKING
All South Dakota State University facilities are tobacco free, including Jackrabbit Athletics facilities. Prohibited tobacco items include: cigarettes, cigars, electronic cigarettes, chewing/smokeless tobacco, sniff/snus, pipes, water pipes, bidis, and kraters.
TAILGATING
- Hard alcohol/liquor
- Glass bottles
- Kegs or bulk containers
- Beer bongs, funnels, or devices that facilitate rapid consumption
- Pets (except service animals)
- For all games, all tailgating lots will open five (5) hours prior to kickoff and will close at kickoff. Tailgating activities during the game, during halftime, or after game conclusion are prohibited. Tailgating areas must be vacated one (1) hour after conclusion of the game. SDSU reserves the right to adjust opening tailgate times due to inclement weather or early gametimes.
- All persons consuming alcohol must be 21 years of age, have valid ID, and receive and wear a wristband from designated University agents. Tailgate activities, including consumption of alcohol, outside designated areas and times are prohibited. Wristband stations will be located around the tailgate lots. If you wish to consume alcohol you must present your Valid ID at a wristband station and receive a wristband.
TICKETS
A valid ticket is required for all events unless otherwise advertised. Children two (2) and under who will not occupy a seat will not need a ticket for Jackrabbit Athletics events. Gameday ticket prices are higher than pre-purchased tickets prices. Please review the Jackrabbit Ticketing Policies for the full list of ticket-related policies.
- HOURS: The Jackrabbit Ticket Office is located inside the southeast entrance of First Bank & Trust Arena and is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.Â
- PASS GATE:Â The Jackrabbit football player/coach pass list will be at the main west gate in Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. All other pass lists (cheer/dance, game day personnel, etc.) will be at the northwest gate with the exception of the opposing team pass list, which will be at the southeast gate. All customers picking up tickets on a pass list must present a valid photo ID and sign for their tickets.
- LOST TICKET POLICY: If tickets are lost, stolen, or misplaced, contact the Jackrabbit Ticket Office at 605-688-5422 prior to the day of the game. Re-issued tickets may only be claimed by the account holder upon showing a valid photo ID.
- ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

USHERS/SECURITY
Ushers/security are stationed at Jackrabbit Athletics events to assist you and enforce facility rules and regulations. If assistance is needed, please immediately seek out a staff member. If approached by an usher/security, please treat them with courtesy and respect. By enforcing rules, our staff is making Jackrabbit Athletics facilities a safer and more comfortable environment for all guests.
