South Dakota State head volleyball coach
Nicole Cirillo announced Tuesday that Hanna Nimrick will join the Jackrabbits coach staff as a graduate assistant.
"We are excited to welcome Hannah to our staff. Being a two-time all-America setter along with the coaching experiences that she already has, she will bring knowledge that will help us tremendously in our setting department specifically," Cirillo said.
Nimrick comes to SDSU after finishing a four-year career at Elmhurst College in Illinois. The two-time AVCA all-American setter ended her career as the program's all-time assists leader with 4,238 assists and set the single-season records for assists in 2014 (1,401. Nimrick helped the Bluejays win two conference titles, reach a NCAA Division III regional three times and a four-year record of 115-39.
The two-time first team all-region and all-conference selection, spent four years coaching club teams. Nimick spent two years coaching the 1st Alliance Lion Jrs. Volleyball Club and a season with the Panthers Volleyball Club in Illinois.
The 2016 Elmhurst graduate has a Bachelor of Arts degree in sports management and will be working toward a master's degree in sports and recreational administration at South Dakota State.
