Peterson Named to All-Tournament Team

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin—Junior Sierra Peterson was named to the Pepsi Panther Invitational All-Tournament team Saturday after leading the South Dakota State volleyball team's offense this weekend.

The right side hitter led SDSU averaging 2.8 kills per set and hit .303. She collected five service aces and seven total blocks in 10 sets.

Peterson led the Jacks with 12 kills in their win over host Milwaukee. She added 10 kills and a career-high eight digs in the loss to Idaho State.

South Dakota State returns to action when it hosts the Hampton Inn Jackrabbits Invitational Sept. 1-2 in the friendly confines of Frost Arena. The Jacks play CSU Bakersfield Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. Action starts at 12:30 p.m. with the Roadrunners playing Valparaiso.
