EUGENE, Ore. ? South Dakota State took on #16 Oregon in a double header on Sunday in Oregon, but could only score one run in the two games, as the Ducks swept the Jackrabbits with scores of 6-0 and 10-1.
Oregon scored the only run it needed in the first, but added to its lead with a run in the fourth, three in the fifth and one more in the sixth to secure the win.
The Jacks fall to 9-12 with the loss.
The Ducks offense kept on rolling in game 2, with a run in the second, four in the third and five in the sixth inning.
The lone bright spot for the Jackrabbits in the top of the sixth inning, when Steph Kuhl connected on her second home run of the season and SDSU best 22nd of her career.
The Jacks, who fall to 9-13 on the season, return to action on Thursday in Omaha, with a double header at Creighton. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
