The Jackrabbits return home from an eight game road trip to host the next three games at home, starting Tuesday against Southwest Minnesota State at 7 p.m.
The Jackrabbits went 5-3 on the season-long eight game road trip, with all three losses coming against power conference foes Minnesota, Georgia and Nebraska. The trip also included a perfect 3-0 mark at the CBE Classic Macon Subregional and a perfect 2-0 mark to start Summit League play.
SDSU opened league play on Thursday with a 97-93 overtime win at IUPUI, the Jacks first-ever road win against the Jaguars. Nate Wolters led all-scorers with 32 points in the win, adding a season-high eight rebounds and eight assists. Griffan Callahan scored 20 points and tied a career-high with 10 rebounds for his second-career double-double. Jordan Dykstra, seeing his first significant action in four games, scored 15 points off the bench.
The game featured 12 ties and four lead changes, two of which came in overtime, before a Callahan put-back put the Jacks up for good at 95-93 with 39 seconds left in overtime.
The Jacks played Western Illinois on Saturday in the second league game of the season, and even though it did not go to overtime, the game did see plenty of excitement before the buzzer sounded with a 67-66 Jackrabbit win.
The Jackrabbits and Fighting Leathernecks played to nine ties and 16 lead changes in the game, with seven ties and three lead changes in the first half. Each team led by as many as four points in a back-and-forth battle in the second half, before the Jacks went up for good at 59-58 on a Chad White put back with two and a half minutes left to play.
Wolters tied for game-high honors with 17 points, adding seven rebounds and seven assists in the win. White finished the game with 12 points off the bench, as did Zach Horstman. WOLTERS JOINS THE 1,000-POINT CLUB - Junior Nate Wolters set the sophomore scoring record last season with 604 points. Add that to his 303 points as a freshman, and the standout point guard entered the 2011-12 season needing just 97 points to become the 42nd member of the SDSU 1,000-Point Club, which he accomplished in the Jacks win over Sam Houston State on Nov. 22. Wolters enters tonight's game with 1,099 career points, good for 25th all-time at SDSU and 16 points shy of moving up two spots on the list.
WOLTERS CHASES SCORING RECORD - Nate Wolters scored 303 points as a freshman, and then set the SDSU sophomore scoring record with 604 points. Double his two-year point total of 907 points, and it does not appear that he enters his junior season on pace to break the all-time SDSU scoring record of 1,931 points, but if he can average 512 points per season over his last two years, the record, set by Mark Tetzlaff from 1981-85, would indeed fall.
WOLTERS AND CALLAHAN EARN CBE CLASSIC HONORS - Nate Wolters averaged 19 points per game and dished out 14 assists in leading the Jackrabbits to three wins at the CBE Classic Macon Sub-regional last week, all of which earned him MVP honors at the event. Senior Griffan Callahan averaged 15.7 points and led the Jacks with 6.7 rebounds per game to earn all-tournament team honors.
NAGY NEARS MILESTONE WIN - Already the most prolific coach in SDSU history, Jackrabbit head coach Scott Nagy entered the 2011-12 season with 289 wins, just 11 shy of reaching the 300-win milestone. His six wins this season give him 295 for his career, five wins shy of the milestone.

Tony Fiegen scored a career-high 14 points, Griffan Callahan pitched in with 12 and Dale Moss 11 points in the win.
Scott Roehl led the Mustangs with a game-high 23 points. Jordan Miler added 19 and Trent Carlson 12 points in the loss. Roehl also pulled down 10 rebounds for the game's only double-double.
Sargent hit a jumper from the win on the first possession of the game to give SDSU a 2-0 lead that the Jacks held onto for the rest of the game.SDSU led by as many as 14 points in the first half, and took a 49-35 lead into the locker room at halftime.
