The Jackrabbits and Eagles tip at 8:30 p.m., following the SDSU women's game against Sam Houston State, which tips at 6 p.m.
The Jackrabbits trailed by as many as 17 points in the first half of Friday's game against UND and trailed by 15 points at halftime. North Dakota went up by 10 at 64-54 with under five minutes to play, but the Jacks closed on a 20-8 run to secure the home-opening win.
Deondre Parks led the Jacks with 19 points in the win, with Cody Larson adding 15 and Jake Bittle 12 points. Larson and Parks teamed-up to score 15 points in the second half, 14 of which came in the final 3:20 of the game.
TONIGHT'S OPPONENT
Chadron State Eagles (1-1, 0-0 Away): Picked to finish ninth in the 14-team Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll, the Eagles opened the season with a convincing 71-59 home win over Presentation College on Nov. 14, and then hosted Nebraska Kearney on Friday in Chadron, Neb.
Christopher Smith led a trio of Eagles in double figures in the win over the Saints with 18 points on 7 of 11 shooting, and added six rebounds. Kendrick Holliman added 17 points on 6 of 10 shooting and also grabbed a game-high nine rebounds, while Evan Brooks scored 11 points.
Eleven different Eagles played in the game, 10 of which played at least 12 minutes, and nobody more than 26 minutes.
Roderick Butler and Devante McCallam led the Eagles with 14 points each in a 78-62 loss to Nebraska-Kearney on Friday. Butler added nine rebounds in the loss, as the Lopers held the Eagles to 35 percent shooting on the night overall, 22 of 63, and to 32 percent from 3-point range, 8 for 25.
