Sanford Pentagon to host Jacks and Eagles

South Dakota State returns from a short Thanksgiving break to play its first-ever game in the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, when the Jackrabbits take on Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday at 4 p.m.
Sunday's game tips at 4 p.m., and can be seen live on Fox Sports North, with Minnesota Twins play-by-play voice Dick Bremer on the call and former NBA player and Minnesota Golden Gopher standout Kevin Lynch on color commentary.
The Jackrabbits (2-2) come into the game riding a two-game winning streak, both at home, after erasing a 15-point halftime deficit to beat North Dakota 74-72 on Nov. 21, and a dominating 87-42 win over Chadron State last Monday.
The Eagles (5-1) played all six of their games this season in the state of Florida, including the last three at the Gulf Coast Showcase in Esterno, Fla., where they went 2-1, after losing to Green Bay in the Tournament final.
THE OPPONENT
FGCU Eagles (5-1, 2-1 Neutral): The defending Atlantic Sun Champion Eagles entered the 2014-15 season as the favorites to repeat as champions. They also feature the league's preseason player of the year in Bernard Thompson, who also earned preseason defensive player of the year honors.
Sunday's game marks the fourth neutral sight game for the Eagles, as they went 2-1 last week at the Gulf Coast Showdown in Estero, Fla., beating Marist and San Francisco before falling to Green Bay in the tournament finals on Wednesday.
FGCU opened the season with three games at home, all wins, including a 63-51 win over Nova Southeastern, an 81-75 overtime win over UC Santa Barbara and a 79-62 win over former North Dakota State head coach Saul Phillips and his Ohio Bobcats.
