The win also marked the Jackrabbits sixth straight win overall, a streak that can tie a season-high mark of seven in a row on Wednesday, when they host Omaha to start the second half of league play.
The Mavericks come to Brookings with an 8-11 overall record and a 2-5 mark in league play after downing Denver on Saturday at home by the score of 80-69. The win snapped a season-long five game skid for the Mavs, who opened league play with a win at South Dakota on Jan. 2.
Cody Larson led the Jacks on Saturday at ORU with a career-high 27 points, and added 12 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season, the 11th of his career. Deondre Parks added 18 points in the win, while Bixby, Okla., native Jake Bittle pitched in 13 points, all in the second half.
The Jackrabbits won the first meeting of the season with Omaha, 87-68, at Ralston Arena behind a career-high 25 points from George Marshall and a career-high 19 from Reed Tellinghuisen.

OMAHA MAVERICKS (8-11, 2-5 Summit): The Mavericks come to Brookings on a winning note, after dropping Denver on Saturday in Omaha by the score of 80-69, a win that snapped a season-long five game losing streak.
Omaha opened its Summit League slate with an 86-77 win at South Dakota on Jan. 2, 2015.

The Jackrabbits lead the all-time series 50-32 after winning the first game of the season on Jan. 10, in Omaha, 87-66. The two teams split last season, with each team winning on the other's home floor.
