The Jackrabbits enter the game with a 10-7 record, and can even their Summit League record at 2-2 with a win over the Mavericks, who enter the game with a 7-8 record and the same 31-2 mark in league play, after dropping a 75-72 game against North Dakota State on Thursday in their first league home game of the season.
SDSU got 17 points from George Marshall in his home debut against the Fighting Leathernecks on Wednesday, with Cody Larson and Deondre Parks both adding 14 points in the win, which snapped a four game skid and extended the Jacks home winning streak to 10 games. Jake Bittle added eight points in the win, two of which game a possession after losing half of his front tooth diving for a loose ball.
Mike Rostampour and Tre'Shawn Thurman led four Mavs in double figures with 18 points in the loss to the Bison on Thursday, with CJ Carter adding 14 and Devin Patterson 11 points in the loss.
TONIGHT'S OPPONENT
OMAHA MAVERICKS (7-8, 1-2 Summit): Now in the final year of their transition to Division I, the Mavericks opened Summit League play with a 6-6 record, and improved to 7-6 with an 86-77 come-from-behind win at South Dakota in their Summit League opener before falling at Western Illinois by the score of 80-78.
Omaha played its first league home game on Thursday, but fell to defending league champion North Dakota State by the score of 75-72.
THE SERIES vs. OMAHA
The Jackrabbits lead the all-time series 49-32 after the teams split the season series last year, with each team winning in the other's gym. Omaha won 80-71 on Jan. 18, 2014 at Frost Arena, with the Jacks avenging the loss with a 77-60 win on Feb. 13, 2014 in Omaha.
