The South Dakota State men's swimming and diving team closed its home season falling to North Dakota, 222-73 on Sunday.
The meet ended an era at SDSU as head coach
Brad Erickson concluded his last home meet before retiring in June.
Joseph Weber went 2-0 on the weekend on the 1-meter dive as he captured first with a score of 307.95 and a second-place finish on the 3-meter dive (307.80).
The team of
Chase Petersen,
Wyatt Rumrill,
Tony Mikrut and Chris Rumrill claimed second in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:30.84.
Donovan Taylor came in second in the 100 backstroke in 53.75 and the 100 butterfly (52.36).
Tony Mikrut placed second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.90, while
Chase Petersen finished second in the 200 backstroke.
During the meet, Erickson was presented with an award from the city of Brookings claiming Sunday, Jan. 15 as "
Brad Erickson Day."
