Dallas Goedert and Jake Wieneke tallied three more catches in their second-career NFL game

Dallas Goedert (Philadelphia Eagles) SDSU: 2014-17
Weekly Notes: In his second preseason game, Goedert saw playing time midway through the first half as the second-string tight end, competing in 59 offensive plays. The SDSU alum gathered in three catches on six targets for 57 yards with a long of 28 yards in the 34-20 loss to the New England Patriots on Thursday.

His first target came on the first play of the Eagles' drive with 52 seconds left to play in the first half. It was a 28-yard catch down the left hash to New England's 47-yard line, which ignited the offense to catch three consecutive first downs and move the ball 67 yards to the Patriots' eight-yard line with 30 seconds left to play.Â

The first-year tight end had an opportunity to score in the corner of the endzone with seven minutes left to play in the third quarter. Goedert leaped up and caught the ball but the defensive back knocked it out of his hands before he could complete the catch.

Late in the third quarter, Goedert brought in another 28-yard grab deep down the right side of the field on a first-down play to bring the Eagles to midfield. As the Patriots' defenders tried to bring him down, they drew a 15-yard personal foul to move the offense onto New England's 31-yard line. On the next play, the squad scored the final touchdown of the game.

Weekly Notes: Vinatieri went 1-for-1 on field-goal attempts in Monday's preseason 20-19 loss against the Baltimore Ravens. The Colts had an opportunity to tie the game in the fourth quarter after they scored a touchdown to bring the score to 20-19 with 2:29 left to play but decided to run the ball for a two-point conversion and failed.

He tied his career-long field goal of 57 yards to take the 3-0 lead with 49 seconds left in the first quarter. With 5:26 left to play in the second quarter, he tacked on an extra-point to take a 10-7 lead.

The back-up kicker, Michael Badgley made a 43-yard attempt with just over six minutes to play in the fourth quarter.

Weekly Notes: Wieneke caught all three of his targets for 21 yards, including a long of 14 yards, in the 14-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday.

Recorded his first catch with the 8:22 left to play and the Vikings leading 10-7. It was a wide receiver bubble screen attempt that only garnered one yard.

Two possessions later, the Vikings trailed 14-10 after the Jaguars scored with under two minutes left to play. Wieneke caught back-to-back passes for six and 14 yards on the final drive of the game to move the Vikings across midfield to the Jags' 36-yard line. The offense eventually fumbled on a sack at the Jacksonville 16-yard line.

The Chiefs were down 14-10 at the end of the first half but scored in the first second-half offensive possession, a 10-play, 76-yard drive. In the 30 plays Witzmann played, the offense gathered 109 yards and seven points while scoring seven points in two possessions.

Weekly Notes: Zenner grabbed one catch for 11 yards in the 30-17 loss to the New York Giants on Friday. He competed in 15 offensive plays and 10 special team plays in the team's second preseason game.

His catch came on a four-yard third-down conversion where he caught a dump-off pass at the left side of the line-of-scrimmage from his hurried quarterback, Jake Rudock. Zenner then scampered out of a tackle short of the first-down marker and lowered shoulder into a Giants' defender at the defense's 42-yard line.

The drive churned out the last touchdown of the game on a fourth-and-one touchdown quarterback sneak at the goal line with 26 seconds left, concluding a 14-play, 71-yard drive that took three minutes, 45 seconds.
