The South Dakota State cross country and track and field program announced 15 additions to the 2020-21 roster.
The accomplished class, consisting of 13 women and two men, represents four states, three countries and covers all event areas.

Joining the men's squad from Winnipeg, Manitoba comes William Boyle, who recently placed 11th at the Canadian Cross Country Championships and has personal bests of 4:02.44 in the 1500m and 6:01.77 in the 2000m steeplechase. The Jackrabbit men also welcome 4:26.88 miler Noah Stewart from Morris, Minn.Â

On the women's side of the mid-distance/distance events, Kasey Klocek comes to Brookings from Lakewood, Colo. The Green Mountain High School product, seven-time state finalist and class 4A state runner-up in the 800m joins the Jacks with personal bests of 57.5 in the 400m, 2:13.03 in the 800m, 5:03.84 in the 1600m and a cross country 5K personal best of 18:02.0.
Caitlin Bright comes from Alexandria, Minn. and holds a personal best of 11:38.73 in the 3200m and 18:59.0 in the 5K for cross country. Gracie Mallak joins the program from Howard Lake, Minn. and holds a 5:12.56 PR in 1600 and has covered the 5k distance in cross country in 18:34.1. Between the Mallak and Bright, the pair boast eight state final appearances.
The Jacks also add homegrown talent Ainsley Powers from Brookings, S.D. Powers joins the Jackrabbits after a breakout cross country season where she placed eighth at the South Dakota state meet and lowered her 5K personal best to 18:55.1 under the guidance of SDSU cross country and track and field alumnus Chris Gruenhagan. The Jacks distance squad rounds out their additions with Grace Lamski from Elkhorn, Neb. Lamski currently holds a personal best of 2:21.27 in the 800m and has placed as high as third in the event at the Nebraska Class B State Championships.Â
The Jackrabbits also add talents in the sprints, hurdles, and jumps.
Making the leap north, Rich-Ann Archer comes to the Jacks from Kingston, Jamaica where she attends Convent of Mercy Academy "Alpha". The sprinter/hurdler owns personal best marks of 11.92 in the 100m, 25.53 in the 200m, 55.63 in the 400m and 14.34 in the 100m hurdles.
Another international student-athlete, this time from Canada, sprinter and hurdler Collette Wolfe comes to Brookings from Waterloo, Ontario. She attends Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary School and has notched personal bests of 12.23 in the 100m, 25.37 in the 200m and 14.9 in the 100m hurdles.
The Jackrabbits also add five women from within South Dakota's borders. Joining Powers from Brookings High School is teammate Emily Rystrom. Rystrom has posted marks of 26.14 and 59.1 in the 200m and 400m, respectively. Also joining the Jackrabbit sprinters with the intent to compete in the multi-event, is Ciara Benson from St. Thomas More High School in Rapid City, S.D., who brings with her personal best marks of 12.69 in the 100m and 26.79 in the 200m. Benson is a South Dakota Class A Region Champion and state finalist in both of the short sprints.
The South Dakota ties continue in the jumps where Jaiden Boomsma joins the program from Yankton, S.D., and is the South Dakota Class A runner-up in both the long jump and the 100m, having posted marks of 18-4.50 and 12.27, respectively.
High jumper Madison Kizer joins the Jacks from Howard, S.D. where she has cleared 5-4.00, and is a two-time state runner-up in the high jump.
Also joining the Jackrabbit jump squad is Camryn Brinkman, who comes to Brookings from Melrose, Minn. Brinkman owns personal best marks of 16-6.50 in the long jump and 38-4.50 in the triple jump. Benson is also a Minnesota Class A state runner-up in the triple jump.
Rounding out the additions and adding depth to the throws is discus specialist Milee Young from Arlington, Neb. Young is the Nebraska Class B state runner-up in the discus throw and claims personal bests of 42-11.00 in the shot put and 141-5.00 in discus.
