South Dakota State University head football coach John Stiegelmeier and his wife, Laurie, are continuing their partnership with Feeding South Dakota to tackle childhood hunger.
Â
Through May 24, the Stiegelmeiers will match gifts up to $12,000 for Feeding South Dakota's Child Hunger Programs, with every $10 donation providing 60 nutritious meals. Donations are accepted online at FeedingSouthDakota.org.
Â
"There is nothing more fulfilling than knowing that each one of us can do something so small to help some of the most vulnerable in our communities. A gift today can make a huge impact in the life of a child in need," John Stiegelmeier said.
Â
Recent statistics show that one in six children is food insecure, a figure that is magnified with summer approaching.
Â
Donors are eligible to win the following prizes:
Dinner for two with the Stiegelmeiers (all donors)
Four club-level tickets and a parking pass to a 2019 South Dakota State home football game of the winner's choice (donors $500 and above)
Two passes to travel with the SDSU football team to a game of the winner's choice (donors $1,000 and above)
