South Dakota State softball announced Wednesday the addition of Hannah Loving and Chiara Bassi for the 2020 season. Bassi is a member of the Italian National Team and will arrive on campus as a freshman, while Loving spent a year at Northern Iowa and has three years of eligibility remaining.
Â
"We are thrilled to bring two high-character and multi-talented young women to our program," head coach
Krista Wood said. "These two know what it takes to be successful on and off the field and will be great additions to the Jackrabbit softball family.
Â
"Hannah is a local player who was extremely successful in club and high school ball, and brings a steady, intelligent approach from behind the plate to work with our pitchers. Chiara's glovework will elevate our infield immediately, and her dedication to the game and her craft will be an asset to our program."
