FOUR JACKS NAMED ATHLETES TO WATCH

SIOUX FALLS — Four Jackrabbit track and field athletes have been named Summit League Indoor Preseason Athletes to Watch, as announced Thursday by the league office.

Trent Francom and Coby Hilton cover the men's side, while Oksana Covey and Annie Wendt represent the women. Aso released, the Jackrabbit men are tabbed to finish second in the conference, while the women were picked to finish third in the preseason poll.

ATHLETES TO WATCH

Trent Francom
Sr | Pole Vault | Huron, S.D.

Finished third at the 2020 Summit League Championships with a mark of 17-5.00… won the SDSU Indoor Classic with the same height.
Finished second at the 2019 Summit League Championships after his mark of 16-11.00.

Coby Hilton
Sr | Sprints | Marshall, Minn.

Took fourth in the 60m dash at the 2020 Summit League Indoor Championships with a time of 6.94 and fifth in the 200 with a 21.97.
Picked up two PR's at the 2019 Summit League Indoor Championships in the 60, running a 6.85 for fifth place while taking silver with a 21.24 personal best in the 200.

Oksana Covey
Sr | Mid-Distance | Ankeny, Iowa

Took home all-league honors at the 2019 Summit League Indoor Championships with a second place finish in the 800 with a mark of 2:11.58 and third place finish as a member of the 4x400 with a 3:52.59.
Holds the SDSU record in the 800 with a 2:0.33 from the Iowa State Classic (Feb. 14-15).

Annie Wendt
So. | Jumps | Rochester, Minn.

Tied for third in school history in the long jump as a freshman (19-02.00).
Took home second in the long jump and was named Summit League Newcomer of the Championship.
