Krista Wood announced the addition of five newcomers on National Signing Day.

Camryn Altimus, Emma Christensen and Kaelan Schultz all signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Jackrabbits. In addition, Alivya Bollen and Emma Vike have been accepted for admission to South Dakota State and will join the squad next fall.

Camryn Altimus (5-9, IF/OF – Sparks, Nevada, Edward C. Reed High School)
Camryn Altimus, who hails from Sparks, Nevada, has averaged .403 at the plate and recorded 49 RBIs over the last three seasons. Despite playing in only six games of the 2020 season, she still hit two home runs and batted in six runs.

Altimus averaged .415 with five home runs, 18 RBIs and a .567 on-base percentage. She was an All-League First Team Offensive selection from 2019-22.

Alivya Bollen (5-7, IF/OF – Lincoln, Neb., Lincoln Southeast High School)
The addition of Alivya Bollen will provide the roster with yet another powerful bat. In her final three seasons at Lincoln Southeast, Bollen averaged .406 at the plate and amassed 136 hits, including 36 home runs.

Bollen was named Class A Second-Team All-State and Heartland Athletic All-Conference after she hit .436 with a .500 on-base percentage and .889 slugging percentage. The Nebraska product totaled 52 hits, 16 home runs, 45 runs and 41 RBIs as a senior.

Emma Christensen (5-5, OF/UT – Urbandale, Iowa, Waukee Northwest High School)
Emma Christensen did not play high school softball and played for Iowa Premier Fastpitch from 2015-22. Over the last three summers, Christensen has averaged .397 at the plate and stolen more than 28 bases, including 19 swiped bags during the 2019 season.

Christensen hit .385 with a .450 on-base percentage on the travel ball circuit last summer and led the 18u division in doubles during the 2021 Colorado Fireworks Power Pool.

Kaelan Schultz (5-8, OF – Juniata, Neb. – Hastings High School)
Kaelan Schultz will provide another powerful bat in the Jackrabbit lineup. Schultz set the all-class record for home runs in the state of Nebraska with 65 career longballs, 22 of which came during her senior campaign.

She was named to the Omaha World Herald Super State First Team, Lincoln Journal Star Super Stater First Team and All-Heartland Super Squad First Team after hitting above .500 during her senior season.

Emma Vike (5-9, IF/OF – St. Michael, Minn., St. Michael-Albertville High School)
Emma Vike had a strong junior season at the dish in 2021, averaging .415 during her junior season. For her efforts, Vike was named to the All-Conference team and was an All-State honorable mention.

Vike is a versatile addition to the lineup with experience at shortstop, catcher and in the outfield.
