CHICAGO — Three members of the South Dakota State football team were honored Monday on the 2021 Stats Perform FCS All-America Team.

Earning first-team recognition from the Jackrabbit offense were senior running back Pierre Strong, Jr. and sophomore tight end Tucker Kraft. Linebacker Adam Bock was a second-team honoree.

Strong, a native of Little Rock, Arkansas, leads the Football Championship Subdivision with 1,686 rushing yards — an average of 112.4 yards per game. He topped the 100-yard mark nine times during the 2021 season and also scored 18 touchdowns. Strong finished third on the SDSU career rushing charts with 4,527 yards.

A Timber Lake native, Kraft emerged as a top receiving threat for the Jackrabbits this season, ranking second on the team with 65 catches and 780 receiving yards, while contributing six touchdowns. Kraft caught at least two passes in all 15 games and went over the century mark for receiving yards three times.

Bock led the Jackrabbits in tackles for the second season in a row, tallying 125 this fall. The sophomore from Solon, Iowa, registered double figures in tackles six times and also recorded 9.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, two interceptions, six pass breakups and a pair of forced fumbles.

South Dakota State reached the semifinals of the FCS playoffs for the fourth time in five seasons and finished the 2021 campaign with an 11-4 record, tying the school single-season record for victories.
