SIOUX FALLS - South Dakota State women's soccer defender
Gabby Vivier-Hannay was named Summit League Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
The senior played 177 minutes, including all 90 minutes on Sunday, for a defensive unit that posted two shutouts, allowing just four shots in the pair of wins at Oral Roberts. Vivier-Hannay has teamed with the rest of the Jackrabbit squad to post four consecutive shutouts to open its season.Â
This is the first career weekly honor for Vivier-Hannay.
SDSUÂ opens it's home slate March 5 and 7 as it hosts Kansas City. Game times are schedule for 3 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively, at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium.
