Sioux Falls, S.D. - South Dakota State volleyball outside hitter Crystal Burk was named All-Summit League Honorable Mention Thursday by the league's head coaches.
A junior from Newnan, Georgia., Burk led the team in kills and finished fifth in the Summit League with 3.74 kills per set. Burk totaled 213 kills and 188 digs in 17 matches. She tallied a career-high 27 kills in SDSU's five set win over North Dakota March 13.
Burk notched 10 double-doubles this season, including eight in the final nine matches of the season. She posted double digit kill performances in 14 matches.
Burk is the first Jackrabbit to earn All-Summit League honors since Makenzie Hennen was an All-Summit League Honorable Mention selection in 2018.
South Dakota State's six Summit League wins during the spring 2021 season was the most since 2012. Additionally, SDSU recorded its best Summit League finish (sixth), most road wins (two) and highest winning percentage (.375) since the 2012 season.
