GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Sunday's scheduled Summit League softball doubleheader between South Dakota State and North Dakota has been canceled due to inclement weather. Conditions at scheduled first pitch included snow showers and 29 degrees.
The Jackrabbits extended their school-record winning streak to 16 games by sweeping a doubleheader Saturday by scores of 7-1 and 13-0.
League-leading SDSU, 29-4 overall and 14-0 in The Summit League, is scheduled to return to action next Saturday (April 24) by hosting South Dakota in doubleheader action at Jackrabbit Softball Stadium, starting at noon. That will be the beginning of a 10-game homestand over the next three weekends for the Jackrabbits.
