JACKRABBITS ADD COCKER TO 2022 SIGNING CLASS

South Dakota State softball as announced the addition of Maddie Cocker to its signing class for the 2023 season.
Cocker, an Oronoco, Minnesota native, comes to SDSU following a successful high school career at Byron High School. While at Byron, Cocker earned all-conference, all-section and all-state honors during the 2021 season after tallying 189 strikeouts and a .73 ERA. Cocker owns Byron's single-game strikeouts record with 18 K's.
In the classroom, Cocker has earned a spot on the high honor roll in every semester of her career and is a two-time selection to the academic all-state team. She has also been named to the UMN Dean's List.
Cocker is the daughter of Renee and Lee Cocker and plans to major in mechanical engineering.
