SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State women's soccer claimed another Summit League weekly honor on Monday as
Laney Murdzek was selected as the TicketSmarter Offensive Peak Performer of the Week by the conference office.Â

Murdzek scored eventual game-winning goals for the Jackrabbits in two victories at Fishback Soccer Park.Â

The SDSU midfielder found the back of the net in the 77th minute of the Jacks' 1-0 win over Oral Roberts on Friday. She played 78 minutes in the match and led the Jackrabbits with a team-high two shots on goal. Murdzek notched a goal in the 80th minute of SDSU's Sunday matchup versus Kansas City. Her tally put the Jackrabbits up 2-0 at the time and was the deciding goal in the 2-1 victory over the Roos.Â

The Hudson, Wis., native is now second on the team in points with nine this season, while she is tied for third in goals scored with three. Murdzek's Summit League weekly award is the first of her college career. The Jackrabbits have been recognized with weekly honors six time this season.Â

South Dakota State will be on the road for its final two matches of the regular season. The Jackrabbits head up Interstate 29 next to face North Dakota in Grand Forks on Oct. 21.
