South Dakota State's Garret Greenfield and Caleb Sanders added to their growing list of national honors Tuesday by being named to the 2022 Athlon Sports FCS Postseason All-America Team. The Jackrabbits were two of 30 players from Football Championship Subdivision teams selected to the squad.

A senior from Rock Valley, Iowa, Greenfield has manned the left tackle position for a Jackrabbit squad averaging 33.4 points and 375.9 yards of total offense per game. He also was honored on the Athlon All-America Team during the 2020-21 spring season.

Sanders has anchored the Jackrabbits up front from the defensive tackle position, registering 36 total tackles. The senior from Glenwood, Iowa, also has tallied 9.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks for a South Dakota State defense that is allowing an FCS-best 83 yards per game and ranks third in points allowed at 15.4 points per game.

South Dakota State has set a school record with 13 wins this season (13-1 overall) and will face Missouri Valley Football Conference rival North Dakota State for the FCS title on Sunday, Jan. 8, in Frisco, Texas.
