KNIESCHE NAMED PITCHER OF THE WEEK

SDSU's Tori Kniesche has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Pitcher of the week by the league office.
Kniesche posted two five-inning shutouts over Western Illinois on the weekend. She allowed only one hit and had 22 total strikeouts, 11 in each game. In game one, Kniesche threw a five-inning no-hitter while allowing three walks. In game two, Kniesche gave up only one hit and walked four. The sophomore held opponents to a .033 batting average and currently ranks second in the Summit League in strikeouts (153) and opponent batting average (.167).
This is the sixth career Summit League weekly honor for Kniesche and third of the season. The Jackrabbits have claimed five weekly awards total so far this year.
