Zeke Mayo put together two strong efforts in Frost Arena and was rewarded for his play as the Jackrabbit guard was selected as the TicketSmarter Men's Basketball Peak Performer of the Week, The Summit League announced Monday.Â

Mayo helped lead SDSU to two home victories this past week with two game-high scoring efforts. In Thursday's victory over Omaha, Mayo completed his third 30-point scoring performance of the season as he dropped 31 points. He also had five rebounds and a team-high five assists. In Saturday's win versus Denver, Mayo scored 23 first-half points and eventually settled at 25. He finished the contest with a team-high five rebounds and dished out four assists.Â

In the two contests combined Mayo was 17-for-30 (.567) from the floor and 13 of 22 (.591) from long range, while he committed just three turnovers.

The Lawrence, Kan., native paces SDSU in scoring (16.5 points), rebounds (6.5) and assists (3.3) through 20 contests this season. The weekly award is Mayo's second this year as he was previously chosen for the accolades on Jan. 3 following victories over Western Illinois and St. Thomas.Â

South Dakota State heads to the road for its next three matchups. The Jackrabbits will face St. Thomas in St. Paul next on Thursday.
