South Dakota State's
Hayley Lindaman was a standout in a Jackrabbit victory on Sunday and on Monday was recognized as the TicketSmarter Summit League Women's Soccer Defensive Peak Performer of the Week, the conference office announced.
Lindaman helped the Jackrabbits complete another clean sheet as they defeated St. Thomas at Fishback Soccer Park, 3-0. Lindaman buoyed a back line that gave up just three shots on goal in the contest. She tied for a team high with 79 minutes played as SDSU completed its annual Senior Day contest.
The weekly honor is the first of Lindaman's career. SDSU has had a trio of players previously selected as Players of the Week by The Summit League this season in
Avery Murdzek (Offensive),
Jocelyn Tanner (Defensive) and
Katherine Jones (Defensive).
The Jackrabbits travel south for what's scheduled as their final two games of their regular season. SDSU faces Oral Roberts in Tulsa, Okla, on Thursday followed by a Sunday matchup at Kansas City.
