SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — South Dakota State's
Kaycee Manding and
Jocelyn Tanner earned repeat honors to the Summit League Women's Soccer Academic All-League Team, the conference office announced on Friday.Â

Manding earned her second selection to the Academic All-League Team while Tanner was recognized for the third time in her college career.Â
Â
Manding, who still has a year of eligibility remaining, has been recognized this fall for her performance on the pitch as a defender on the All-Summit League First Team as well as a First Team All-West Region choice by the United Soccer Coaches organization. She's also been tabbed an Academic All-District honoree by the College Sports Communicators organization.Â

The Waipahu, Hawaii, native has a 3.80 grade-point average and is majoring in consumer affairs.Â

Tanner completed her college career as a Jackrabbit this fall serving as a standout goalkeeper for multiple seasons. She claimed two Summit League Goalkeeper of the Year accolades and was a Second Team Academic All-American in 2022. Tanner closed out her tenure in Yellow and Blue second all-time among goalkeepers in wins (36), third in games played (66) and sixth in saves (164).Â

The Ham Lake, Minn., native maintains a 4.0 GPA in graduate school and already holds her undergraduate degree in mathematics from South Dakota State University.Â

The Jackrabbit soccer team closed out its 2023 season in the past month with a seventh trip to the NCAA Tournament. SDSU earned its eighth Summit League Tournament title in Brookings in early November and has a claim to 14 total conference championships.Â
