Emma Osmundson swept The Summit League's weekly softball honors as the pair were named the TicketSmarter Peak Pitcher and Peak Performer of the Week, respectively, by the conference on Monday.Â

Kniesche pitched in three games over the course of a week and finished the stretch with a 3-0 record which included two complete-game performances. In a combined 21 innings she gave up five earned runs and eight hits. She struck out 23 batters over the three-game span while walking 10. She earned wins at Stephen F. Austin, in a game that went nine innings on Feb. 15, as well as at Texas State on Feb. 17 and versus Abilene Christian on Feb. 18.

The weekly honor was the second for Kniesche this season and the ninth in her career.Â

Osmundson had a strong week at bat for the Jackrabbits as they closed out a long stay in Texas. Osmundson went 10-for-21 (.455) over a seven-game span for SDSU. Osmundson scored three runs, hit three doubles and produced 5 RBIs for the Jacks in games at Stephen F. Austin and Texas State's I-35 Tournament. Her stat line included a game-winning RBI double in the bottom of the seventh that led to an SDSU 3-2 win over New Mexico State on Feb. 17.

The weekly honor was the second of Osmundson's career and first since her freshman season in 2021.

South Dakota State is scheduled to continue non-conference play on Feb. 24 by participating in Central Arkansas' Michelle Short Memorial Classic.
