THREE NAMED TO HAMPSHIRE HONOR SOCIETY

IRVING, Texas — Three members of the 2022 national champion South Dakota State football team were recently named to the 2023 Hampshire Honor Society, which is presented by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame.
An elite group of 1,734 players from 328 schools qualified for membership this past season, setting a new record for the number of members in a single year during the program's 17-year history. College football players from all divisions of the NCAA, NAIA and sprint football who maintained a cumulative 3.2 grade-point average or better throughout their college careers and exhausted their eligibility during the 2022 campaign were honored.
The Jackrabbits' three honorees were:
Caleb Sanders, defensive tackle, Glenwood, Iowa;
Reece Winkelman, defensive end, Marshall, Minnesota, andÂ
Landon Wolf, wide receiver, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

In the 17-year history of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society, 94 South Dakota State football student-athletes have been honored and at least one Jackrabbit has received the recognition each year. The initiative has now honored 16,370 student-athletes since its inception..
