Defending Football Championship Subdivision champion South Dakota State will host its annual Spring Game Saturday afternoon at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. with video coverage available through the Jackrabbits All-Access subscription service at GoJacks.com. Local radio coverage will be provided on WNAX 104.1 FM and KJJQ 910 AM. No admission will be charged for the event, with fans asked to use the First Bank & Trust entrance on the northwest corner of the facility.
The game will be an intrasquad scrimmage between the offense and defense, with the defense starting the game with an 18-0 lead. The game will consist of 15-minute running-time quarters with a short halftime intermission.
SDSU's Spring Game marks the conclusion of the spring practice season under first-year head coach Jimmy Rogers. SDSU is slated to open the 2023 regular season by hosting Western Oregon on Aug. 31.
The Jackrabbits are coming off a 2022 season in which they won the first football national championship in program history. SDSU ended the season on a school-record 14-game winning streak en route to a 14-1 overall record, including an 8-0 mark in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.
Season tickets for the Jackrabbits' six-game home schedule remain available at JackrabbitTickets.com and through the Jackrabbit Ticket Office. Tickets for SDSU's Sept. 16 against Drake at Target Field in downtown Minneapolis also are currently on sale at Twins.com/football.
