AUSTIN, Texas – The 2023 Academic All-District Softball Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators organization, was announced on Tuesday. The Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.Â

Brooke Dumont,
Mia Jarecki,
Tori Kniesche,Â
Emma Osmundson and
Allison Yoder.Â

Dumont was selected to The Summit League All-Tournament for her performance last week at the conference championship event. Behind the dish she threw out three baserunners trying to steal and at the plate she was 4-for-10 with a home run, RBI and two runs scored. Dumont is a physical education/teacher education major with a 3.93 GPA.Â

Jarecki was an All-Summit League First Team selection this season as she's led the Jackrabbits with a .343 batting average, 46 runs scored, seven home runs and 59 hits. Jarecki is an exercise science major with a 3.84 GPA.

Kniesche added Summit League All-Tournament honors to her resume this season which includes Summit League Pitcher of the Year and all-conference first team accolades. Kniesche is among the national leaders in wins (22), ERA (1.39), strikeouts (243) and shutouts (14). She's a human development and family studies major with a 3.90 ERA.Â

Osmundson claimed All-Summit League Second Team recognition playing all 54 games this season appearing in right field for the Jackrabbits. Osmundson finished second on the team hitting .308 while recording 52 hits, 28 runs, two home runs and 27 RBIs. Osmundson is a human biology/pre-med major and maintains a 3.92 ERA.

Yoder played both catcher and third base primarily throughout the 2023 season for SDSU. She batted .241 while registering 32 hits, scoring 23 runs and driving in 14 runs. She led the Jacks defensively with 244 putouts and had a 1.000 fielding percentage. Yoder also ranks in several categories on the program's all-time top 10 lists. A spring graduate in physical education/teacher education, Yoder held a 3.98 GPA during her college career.Â

Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced June 6.Â

SDSU continues its 2023 season on Thursday at 2 p.m. CT when the Jackrabbits face Tarleton State at the National Invitational Softball Championship in Fort Collins, Colo.Â
