ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Classic announced its field for the 2023 edition of the multi-team event which will take place from Nov. 19-20 on the campus of Flagler College. South Dakota State is one of eight teams included in the tournament being held in the Jacksonville area.Â

SDSU will participate in the Coast Bracket of the Jacksonville Classic. Joining the Jackrabbits in the bracket are UCF, Charlotte and George Mason. Matchups for the event are still to be announced. The opposite side of the bracket will feature CSU Fullerton, Cornell, Southern Miss and Utah Valley, but those matchups will not cross over with the Coast Bracket.

UCF, newly a member of the Big 12 Conference, went 19-15 a season ago and participated in the NIT. Charlotte, a member of the American Athletic Conference, was a 22-14 squad in 2022-23 and was the champion of the College Basketball Invitational. George Mason went 20-13 overall in 2022-23 and had its season end in the Atlantic 10 Tournament quarterfinals.Â
