Six former South Dakota State football standouts have been in preparation in recent days for a a pair of college all-star games to be played this week.

A group of five former Jackrabbits have returned to Frisco, Texas — the site of the Football Championship Subdivision national championship game — for the 99th East-West Shrine Bowl on Thursday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Ford Center at the Star, with television coverage on NFL Network and NFL+.

Elsewhere, running back Isaiah Davis is slated to play Saturday in the Reese's Senior Bowl as a member of the National Team. That game is slated for a noon kickoff at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Alabama, and also will be televised by NFL Network.

In addition, Davis, Greenfield and McCormick received invitations this week to attend the NFL Scouting Combine Feb. 27-March 4 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The college football all-star game season for South Dakota State got under way Jan. 13, when linebacker Isaiah Stalbird traveled to Orlando, Florida, for the Hula Bowl. Stalbird was credited with five tackles and a fumble recovery for Team Aina.
