SDSU ATHLETICS DEVELOPMENT LISTS STAFF UPDATES

The South Dakota State Athletic Department has seen several updates to its full-time staff within its Development office over the previous couple of months.

Ryan Christy was recently elevated from Assistant Athletic Director for Development to Associate Athletic Director for Development. Christy joined Jackrabbit Athletics in the summer of 2019 before being promoted to his previous role in May of 2021. Christy will oversee SDSU Athletics Development in his new position.

Jordon Boe, a familiar face at SDSU Athletics, took over the Assistant AD for Development role this fall. Boe previously worked in the Jackrabbit Ticket Office and eventually held the title of Assistant Athletic Director of Ticket Sales & Operations during a five-plus year run in Brookings. Boe was then hired at his alma mater, Augustana University, in January of 2023. He returned to Jackrabbit Athletics Department after spending over a year-and-a-half with the Vikings as the department's Assistant Athletics Director for Ticketing and Annual Giving.

Sam Holden, who had been serving as the Associate AD for Premium Sales, has transitioned to SDSU's Associate AD for Internal Operations. In his updated role, Holden oversees Jackrabbit Athletics' business and financial operations. He also prepares the department's annual budget within the guidelines of the university, the South Dakota Board of Regents, The Summit League and the NCAA. Additionally, Holden approves all department expenditures and oversees budget matters for athletic operations.

Along with the revisions to the SDSU Athletics Development team, Jackrabbit Sports Properties welcomed Billy Hunter this fall as its Manager for Business Development. Jackrabbit Sports Properties, the university's athletics multimedia rights holder, also is the locally based team for LEARFIELD.
