WACO, Texas — Gus Miller and Adam Bock received first-team honors and Evan Beernsten was named to the second team on the 2024 FCS Coaches' All-America Team announced Friday by the American Football Coaches Association. The AFCA has selected an All-America team since 1945 and currently selects teams in all five of its divisions.

Miller, a senior from Brookings, has anchored a Jackrabbit offensive line that paved the way for SDSU to average 36.6 points and 441.9 yards of total offense during the regular season. He was honored as the 2023 recipient of the Rimington Award as the top center in the Football Championship Subdivision and earlier this week was named to All-America teams selected by The Associated Press (first team), Stats Perform (first team), FCS Football Central (first team) and Phil Steele (second team)

Bock also has been a consensus All-America selection in 2024 after registering a team-best 75 tackles during the regular season and also leading the squad with eight tackles for loss. The Solon, Iowa, native currently ranks second on the career tackles chart at SDSU with 438.

Earlier this week, Bock received first-team All-America accolades from FCS Football Central and second-team recognition from The Associated Press, Stats Perform and Phil Steele.

A native of De Pere, Wisconsin, Beerntsen has been a three-year starter at right guard. In 12 games during the 2024 regular season, the Jackrabbits allowed only six sacks and led the FCS in fewest tackles for loss allowed at 2.58 per game.

Beerntsen previously earned second-team All-America honors from the AP, Stats Perform, FCS Football Central and Phil Steele.

South Dakota State, 12-2 overall, plays Saturday at North Dakota State in the Football Championship Subdivision national semifinals.
