2024 Jackrabbit Athletic Scholarship Auction Graphic

The Jackrabbit Athletic Scholarship Auction continues to set records, with more than $2.38 million raised during the 2024 edition this past weekend.

More than 1,000 people attended the April 27 event at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex on the South Dakota State University campus. Nearly 475 items were featured on the silent and live auctions and generated upwards of 11,000 bids.

"The Jackrabbit Athletic Scholarship Auction remains a prime example of the connection and affection so many people feel for South Dakota State University," SDSU Director of Athletics Justin Sell said. "The event not only helps provide an avenue for sustained success and growth within our program, but is a celebration of our many recent athletic accomplishments."

The final total of $2,388,837 includes a 2-for-1 matching gift from an anonymous donor and was about $295,000 more than the previous record set in 2023. The event has topped the $1 million mark each of the last eight years.
