South Dakota State softball had five individuals recognized to the 2023-24 Academic All-District® Softball Teams on Tuesday. Selected by College Sports Communicators, the Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.

The five Jackrabbits that were honored were Lindsey Culver, Brooke Dumont, Mia Jarecki, Tori Kniesche and Emma Osmundson.

All five of the Jackrabbit academic selections were First Team All-Summit League performers this season as well. Culver, Jarecki and Kniesche were previously NFCA All-Midwest Region honorees this month.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 18.
