SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — South Dakota State's Carter Toews is awarded Kwik Star Summit League Men's Indoor Track Peak Performer of the Week award, as announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon. The sophomore is the first Jackrabbit to receive the award this year.
Toews saw a stellar performance last weekend as he posted two top-10 program times at the Jim Emmerich Alumni meet. The sophomore finished second in the 60-meter with a time of 6.76, the fourth-fastest time in program history. Later in the meet, Toews posted another program top-10 time, this time in the 200-meter dash. Toews won the race with a time of 21.49, the third-fastest time in program history.
Up Next: The Jackrabbits will host the SDSU Open, beginning Friday afternoon.
