BROOKINGS, S.D. – The South Dakota State men's basketball team led from start to finish in a 109-61 exhibition victory over Mayville State on Wednesday, Oct. 29, inside First Bank & Trust Arena.

SDSU built out a 24-point lead at the halftime break. The first half saw the Jackrabbits make 18 field with nine courtesy of assists. The Jacks turned the ball over just twice while forcing 11 Mayville State giveaways.

South Dakota State eventually finished shooting over 50% from the field on the night. The Jacks outrebounded the Comets by a 40-27 margin.

Every Jackrabbit that entered the game scored points. Jaden Jackson and Matthew Mors tied for a team-high 14 points apiece.

The Jacks begin their 2025-26 season on Monday in Sioux Falls. SDSU faces Merrimack in the Sanford Pentagon as a part of the Field of 68 Opening Day Marathon. Tickets are available online on Ticketmaster.
