Upcoming Event: Wrestling at Bison Open on November 9, 2025

The first two months of competition will be a mix of open tournaments and dual competition. For tournament action, on Nov. 9, the Jackrabbits will split their squad to open their season by competing in the Bison Open hosted by North Dakota State and the Tiger Style Invite hosted by Missouri. They will also return to the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational on Dec. 5-6, the Soldier Salute on Jan. 3-4 and the NWCA National Duals on Jan. 9-10.
The Jackrabbits will open dual competition against Augustana at home on Nov. 14th, marking the start of their second season in First Bank & Trust Arena. The Jacks continue at home after this, hosting the Warren Williamson Daktronics Invitational on Nov. 16th. The Jacks' first road test of the year comes against Minnesota as they head to the Twin Cities on Nov. 25th for a dual against head coach Damion Hahn's alma mater.
SDSU will return to Brookings on Dec. 21st as they take on the Campbell Fightin' Camels in a dual at First Bank & Trust Arena. This dual is followed by a short break before they travel to Sioux Falls to take on Arizona State at the Sanford Pentagon, their first Big 12 dual of the season.
The Jackrabbits continue their Big 12 schedule on the road against Utah Valley on Jan. 16 and then travel to take on Wyoming on Jan. 18.
South Dakota State will have its first Big 12 dual meet of the season on Jan. 23 against Cal Baptist before heading out on the road to take on Iowa State in a neutral-site dual in Humboldt, Iowa.
The Jackrabbits will finish their dual season with home matches against Air Force (Jan. 30), Northern Colorado (Feb. 1), UNI (Feb. 8) and finally North Dakota State (Feb. 22). In between those duals, the Jacks will host their second tournament of the season, the Jackrabbits Open on Feb.15th.
SDSU then travels to Tulsa, Okla., to compete in the Big 12 Championships at the BOK Center on March 6-7. The 2026 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships will be held on March 19-21 in Cleveland, Ohio.
The Jackrabbits are coming off a successful season where they sent a program record, nine wrestlers, to the NCAA Championships. They placed third at the Big 12 Championships and came away with one All-American at the NCAA's in graduated senior, Cade DeVos. The Jacks return six starters from last year's team and add Alek Martin and Cael Swensen, who are back from injury this season.
