NINE JACKS GO UNDEFEATED AT DAKTRONICS INVITE

Brookings, S.D. - Nine Jackrabbit wrestlers competing at the Daktronics Invitational went undefeated on Sunday.
The tournament was highlighted by Cale Seaton's win over #29 Tristan Daugherty on his way to a 2-0 record on the day, improving his overall record to 6-0 on the year. Brady Roark scored bonus points in both of his matches, winning by major decision and tech fall, continuing his winning ways to start the season.
Julian Tagg started his season off on the right foot as he scored a dominant decision over NDSU's Michael Olson, 5-1, only giving up an escape to the Bison wrestler. Meanwhile, Cael Swensen added to his win total for the year, with consecutive tech falls over Jack Nelson of Minnesota and Brandon Dean of NDSU. Likewise, Marcus Espinoza-Owens scored two bonus point victories over Boeden Greenley and Porter Craig of NSDU by major decision and tech fall. Jared Thiry also added a victory over Andrew McGonagle (NDSU) by decision.
Freshmen Jacob Herm, Zach Ballante and Bas Diaz all showed out in their brackets, each going undefeated cruising to 2-0 records on the day. Herm was able to continue the strong start to his collegiate career, scoring bonus point victories over Greenley and Craig at 165 pounds. Diaz and Ballante were able to score victories over Brandon Dean and Jack Nelson. Diaz scored the first tech fall of his college career over Brandon Dean in his final match of the day.
