CHICAGO — Three South Dakota State football players who do their work in the trenches were recognized to be among the best at their positions on Football Championship Subdivision All-America teams announced Wednesday by Stats Perform.
Offensive lineman Quinten Christensen was named to his third All-America team this week with a second-team selection on the Stats Perform squad. A junior from Wessington Springs, Christensen stated all 14 games at left tackle and helped lead the way for the Jackrabbits to average 28.6 points and 379.7 yards of total offense per game.
Earlier this week, Christensen received first-team All-America recognition from The Associated Press and third-team honors from FCS Football Central.
On the defensive side of the ball, Kobe Clayborne earned third-team honors. A senior from Sioux City, Iowa, Clayborne split time between defensive tackle and defensive end for the Jackrabbits in 2025, totaling 41 tackles, including eight tackles for loss and four sacks. He also forced a fumble.
Clayborne previously was an honorable mention All-America selection by The Associated Press.
In addition, offensive lineman Shane Willenbring was selected as a member of the 2025 Stats Perform FCS Freshman All-America Team. A redshirt freshman from La Crosse, Wisconsin, Willenbring started all 14 games for SDSU — the first 11 games at center and the final three at right guard.
Willenbring also received freshman All-America recognition from FCS Football Central earlier this month.
South Dakota State finished the 2025 season with a 9-5 overall record. The Jackrabbits received an at-large bid to the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs, marking the program's 14th consecutive postseason appearance.
