Mia Jarecki was honored for her performance over the course of the Jackrabbits' last eight games on Monday, March 17, as she was selected as the Kwik Star Summit League Softball Peak Performer of the Week.Â

The Jacks closed out an extended road trip during a week span that featured a game versus Northern Colorado to close out Nebraska's home tournament, a pair of games in St. Louis, as well as a five-game visit to the Mizzou Invitational.Â

The stretch saw Jarecki go 13-for-26 (.500) at the plate. She scored 14 runs to go along with three home runs (including a grand slam), two doubles and a triple while recording 10 RBIs. Jarecki had five games with multiple hits, five games with multiple runs scored and a five-RBI showing versus Saint Louis on March 11.Â

The Papillion, Neb., native is currently among the top 10 individuals in nine different statistical categories in the conference. The weekly honor from The Summit League is the second of Jarecki's career.Â

South Dakota State has a 10-day break between games. The Jackrabbits next face Iowa in a doubleheader in Iowa City on March 25, then begin league action at Kansas City on March 29.
