Eight South Dakota State student-athletes were recognized Tuesday as members of the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Team for Division I football by the College Sports Communicators.
Johnson, Olivia and Wolfcale-Holsten were repeat selections to the team while Clayborne was previously honored with an Academic All-District® award while playing at Northwest Missouri State.
Based on the combination of their athletic and academic accomplishments, the quartet of Christensen, Clayborne, Olivia and Pelham have been chosen for inclusion on the national ballot for Academic All-America® consideration later this month.
Nominees to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team® must be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing, a starter or key reserve who played in at least 75 percent of his team's games and carry at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average.
