STILLWATER, Okla. – South Dakota State had the score tied 4-4 after three innings at nationally-ranked Oklahoma State on Sunday, March 1, however the Cowgirls registered seven runs in a two-inning stretch to defeat the Jackrabbits by a 12-4 score.Â

Akayla Barnard eventually saw her plated on an RBI single by
Alivya Bollen.Â
Â
The Cowgirls drew three walks to begin the bottom of the second. OSU's Tia Warsop hit a two-run single to push their edge up to 4-1. Despite having two runners on base with no outs, SDSU was able to get out of the jam.Â
Â
South Dakota State added another three runs to its tally in the top of the third.
Bria Riebel began the inning with a walk, then
Amanda Vacanti blasted a two-run home run to cut the deficit to 4-3.
