The 2025-26 Academic All-District Men's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, were announced by the organization on Tuesday. South Dakota State's
Matthew Mors was tabbed as a selection, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Mors was an Academic All-District choice in 2025 as well. He earned the accolades this year as he capped his collegiate career as a four-year member of the South Dakota State men's basketball program. Mors holds a GPA of over 3.50 and is slated to complete his degree in sport and recreation management this spring.
The Yankton, S.D., native played in 132 games over the course of his time as a Jackrabbit. He ranked among the top 20 active student-athletes in game played in a career throughout the 2025-26 season. Mors finished his career in Yellow and Blue tied for seventh in games played with Brayden Carlson (132).
Mors scored 875 points on 47.8% shooting from the field in his career. He also grabbed 386 rebounds and dished out 114 assists during a four-year stretch. His senior season saw him play a career-high 27.7 minutes per game. He shot a career-best 51.2% from the floor while registering career highs in rebounds per game (4.3) and total steals (32).
