ST. LOUIS, MO. — South Dakota State sees six Jackrabbits earn top-20 finishes at the WashU Distance Carnival Thursday and Friday evening.
Joe Dustin and Madalyn Childs kicked off the meet Thursday night in the 800-meter race. Dustin placed ninth overall with a time of 1:51.42, while Childs posted a time of 2:15.57 to take 18th.
On Friday evening, Jared Lutmer, Luke Johnson, and Tyler O'Neill competed in the 5000-meter. Lutmer finished 15th overall with a time of 14:50.46, Johnson posted a time of 14:52.22 to take 18th and Tyler O'Neill crossed the line at 15:29.59.
Kelsey Schmidt competed in the 5000-meter on the women's side, where she finished at 17:28.64 to place 20th.
Emma Ecker rounded out competition for the Jackrabbits in the 1500-meter race. Ecker clocked a time of 4:36.74 to place 20th overall.
