Â
SDSU cut the score to 3-1 in the top of the third on a solo home run by

Emma Vike two-run home run in the fifth cut the edge back down to 6-3.Â
Â
Omaha again responded in the bottom of an inning as a Katherine Johnson RBI single pushed the Mavs' lead back to a four-run difference. SDSU's
Akayla Barnard hit a solo home run to begin the sixth which chases Omaha's Wiggins out of the ball game.Â
Â
The Mavericks turned to Maddia Groff to pitch the final two innings with the host side ahead 7-4. She got six consecutive outs to close out a victory for Omaha and earn a save in the process.Â

Hailey Herman pitched 2 2/3 innings of relief while
